We've been making swimming lessons personalised and accessible for everyone. Whether you're an adult seeking aquatic prowess or a little one ready to make a splash, our lessons follow the internationally acclaimed STA Learn to Swim program.

Little Turtles (2-4 years old)

Gentle, encouraging swimming lessons where young swimmers aged 2+ develop confidence, independence and a lifelong love for the water!

Growing Swimmers (School Age 5+)

Helping growing swimmers make even bigger splashes!

Fun and engaging swimming lessons where growing swimmers aged 5+ develop their technique, build confidence and discover what they can achieve in the water!

At Goggles & Giggles, we celebrate every achievement. Following the STA Learn to Swim Programme, swimmers build skills and confidence every term, with certificates and Watch Me awards recognising their progress along the way.

Helping junior swimmers take on new challenges!

Supportive swimming lessons for children aged 8+, welcoming everyone from complete beginners to swimmers looking to improve their skills & confidence.

At Goggles & Giggles, we help every swimmer progress at their own pace. Through engaging lessons, clear goals and regular achievements, children build confidence, refine their technique and develop essential swimming skills for life.

Along the way, they learn perseverance, independence and the confidence to take on new challenges both in and out of the water.

Aquaphobia

Overcome your fear of water with confidence.

As North Devon’s Approved Aquaphobia Centre, we help children and adults develop a positive relationship with water through a gentle, structured programme designed around individual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Everyone - we start little swimmers at age 2 and go right up to adult beginners.

  • Group lessons are £10.50 per lesson, paid in term blocks that exclude school holidays.

  • Lessons are 30 minutes long, in small groups with a maximum of four swimmers per class, so every child gets focused attention.

  • We're based at Hill Farm Cottages, Weare Trees Hill, Torrington, and conveniently serve families from Bideford, Barnstaple, and Winkleigh too.

  • Our lessons only run during term time, however, we often run short crash courses in the Summer Holidays.
